Thinking 'Bout You. | Love and Dating in Second Life #SecondLifeChallenge

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Here I am again and this time around I decided to take part in one of the Strawberry's challenges. I couldn't chose a better day than today! But before I get to it, let's just talk about this place I'm at. It's called Isle of View and to be honest I haven't seen so many Linden people at the same place at once as at this Sim! It's pretty tho! So you should definitely check it out while it's still there, just to warn you, you might need more than one attempt to Teleport, because it is packed! It took me two tries, so hopefully it wont take long for you too.

Okay, now back to the challenge. Here are the questions I am going to answer and if you like to participate here is the original Strawberry's post about it!

Questions:

1. Do you date in Second Life?
2. Share some locations in Second Life that you think are ideal to go to on a date.
3. Share a story of one of your favorite dates/proposals you've experianced in Second Life, or something someone has done for you that meant a lot.
4. Have you ever fallen in love in Second Life?
5. Have you ever gotten partnered or married in Second Life?

Here are my answers to the questions:

1. Do you date in Second Life?
My answer would be half and half , yes and no. It really depends on my RL status. When I was in RL relationship I didn't date in Second Life, but since I'm no longer into that relationship, I do date in Second Life. So basically yes, I date in Second Life too. 

2. Share some locations in Second Life that you think are ideal to go to on a date.

It really depends what you are into and what you like to do on your date. I am a hopeless romantic in both worlds so places with sunsets, beaches and nature are my favorite. So here are my ideal deat locations:

Winter Moon "You know that place between sleep and awake, the place where you can still remember dreaming? That's where I'll always love you, that's where I'll be waiting" 

This place is perfect for nature walks and just taking in the beauty of Second Life. I've done couple of my pictures there and this place just "speaks" to me. 

Mauna Lani Surfing beach This place is perfect for adventurous dates! If you love surfing there is big great wave in the beach and surfboards. You can find a romantic spot and dance your cares away or have a hot air balloon ride around the Sim with your date. This place is great fun, one of my favorite tropical themed sims in Second Life.

Hypnotic Romance A special place for Love & Romance with couples dances, secluded places to cuddle and kiss, and hidden throughout are special romantic animations. Bring your partner, lover or date..or come alone to meet someone with romance on their mind. They also have a Flickr page if you want to share your perfect date pictures!

Japan Tempura Island This place probably is the most heard of but nevertheless beautiful! The forever fall colors makes it just so special. You can take your date there to dance, relax in the beautiful gardens or forests!

Bees Heaven Zoo Have you been to the Zoo in Second Life? I have and this is actually a place I went on a date. This place is ideal for fun dates to make fun memories.

Serenity Bay Riding trails This place is the perfect for horse lovers. Where horses roam and dreams come true, cross country, show jumping tracks, forest and mountain trails. And you get a free horse to roam around with on your date. Chose a spot, enjoy the sights and dance.

ChouChou This place is quite the experience. So if you like something unique and out of the ordinary, this place would be perfect for your date or even wedding, because the sky hides large Cathedral. I can't really explain much about this place, you just might have to go and see by yourself. :)

I could go on and on about my favorite places, ideal locations for a date, but I don't want to make this post super long hehe so I'm stopping here.

3. Share a story of one of your favorite dates/proposals you've experianced in Second Life, or something someone has done for you that meant a lot.

My favorite story isn't related to any date. It's just a memory I will carry with me for the rest of my life and because of it I appreciate Second Life, the opportunity to meet so many people from around the world without even travelling. So fast forward to 2011, it was pretty rough time for me and for the first time I decided to take a break from Second Life. Without my knowing my closest friends made a party for me. I received a book with most precious words from them and good luck wishes. All this party made me appreciate all of them and I felt so lucky to have met such beautiful people in here. I had to wipe away a tear or two at the end of the night, but forever I will keep their notes and pictures from that day.

4. Have you ever fallen in love in Second Life?

Yes, I have a couple of times and none of them was a happy ending.

5. Have you ever gotten partnered or married in Second Life?

I have been partnered for a short period in Second Life, but never married. I have been to some beautiful Weddings in Second Life and all of them were so different, definitely good experience.

So here you have it. Some of the parts turned out a little bit lengthy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. And once again if you felt inspired to participate in this challenge feel free to!
